What are the applications of Slaked lime?

1.In the construction industry:  
      
· It is used to prepare building materials such as lime mortar and lime plaster. These are used for bricklaying and
          wall plastering, providing adhesion and filling.
       
· When mixed with sand and other materials, it forms a composite soil called "three-mix soil" which is used for
          foundation treatment and ground paving, enhancing the stability and durability of the ground.

2.In agriculture:
  • As a soil amendment, slaked lime is an alkaline substance that can neutralize acidic soil, increase the pH value of the soil, and improve the acidity and alkalinity of the soil to make it more suitable for crop growth.
  • It helps improve soil structure, increase soil permeability and water retention, promote the activity of microorganisms in the soil, and enhance soil fertility.
  • It can be used to prepare pesticides like Bordeaux mixture to prevent and control crop pests and diseases.
  • As a source of calcium fertilizer, it provides calcium for crops and promotes their growth and development.
3.In the environmental protection field:
  • For wastewater treatment, it is used to neutralize acidic wastewater and adjust the pH value of the wastewater to meet discharge standards.
  • It can react with heavy metal ions in wastewater to form insoluble hydroxide precipitates, thus removing heavy metals from wastewater.
